Prayer MinistryPrayerPrayer is a vital part of our communication with God. It is one of the primary ways we develop our relationship with HIM and hear His Word. Here at First United Methodist Corsicana we have several components in our Prayer Ministry that make sure that every joy and concern are heard.Prayer Card Ministry TeamThis dedicated group of individuals meet each Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. to pray over and send cards to church family and community members on our prayer list.
Prayer Shawl MinistryThe prayer shawl ministry team at FUMC has been in service for about 3 years. The group has crocheted and distributed over 80 shawls and lap covers to those experiencing difficult times in their life. Members of the group are Jo Brown, Sandra Curtis, Lisa Dillman, Pat Hudson, Jan Noblett, Brenda Metze, Margarette Walker, Martha Washburn, and Carol Wossom. Although the shawls are usually delivered by members of the group, many have been mailed to recipients. Prayers are said for the recipient as they are delivered. Your prayers and support are always welcomed. If you would like to join the ministry, request a a shawl or lap cover for someone, or donate yarn or money, just contact one of the members.E-Mail Prayer MinistryThis wonderful ministry sends all the joys and concerns directly to your inbox. Kathy Alexander works hard to ensure that everyone on the mailing list is well informed of our members' prayer needs, as well as updating the congregation on church news. To send Kathy a prayer request email her at kathyalex@mac.com
